Nighttime is when the boundaries of one’s existence merge with the encroaching darkness. I took it as an opportunity to depart from the rational mind that dominates our daily lives and went on night walks, during which I could sink into inner temporal rhythm and become in sync with the pulses of the night and the tempos of other earthly beings. Automatic sketches and field recordings were brought back to the studio and further developed into a spatial installation and soundscape exhibited in the open air.
